When you use Pourtrait, we may collect the following data: - Account data: email address, display name, and authentication provider (Google, Apple, or Microsoft). - Wine data: photos of wine labels you scan, wines you add to your cellar, ratings, and tasting notes. - Taste profile data: your wine preferences derived from your ratings and interactions. - Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, and technical information such as device type and operating system. - Subscription data: subscription status and payment metadata (we do not store payment card details; payments are processed by Apple via In-App Purchase).
3. Purpose and legal basis
We process your data for the following purposes: - Providing and improving our services (performance of contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / legitimate interest). - Wine recognition, cellar management, and personalized recommendations (performance of contract). - Communicating with you about your account or service updates (performance of contract / legitimate interest). - Ensuring security and preventing misuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). - Complying with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with: - Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting and storage) located in the EU/EEA. - AI service providers for wine recognition and the Gioia sommelier feature, where only the minimum necessary data is transmitted. - Payment processors (Apple) for subscription management. - Authorities if required by law. Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless retention is required by law.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. These include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.
